Civilian Response to Active Shooter (CRAS)

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.
  • CRAS - Edinburgh / Columbus, IN
    September 17, 2016 - September 18, 2016
    10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Active Shooter Situations can happen anywhere.  Schools, Malls, and as we recently witnessed, Nightclubs.

Police will respond, but in the meantime how many deaths will occur?  If your child, spouse, or loved one is in the path of gunfire, will you respond to stop the killing?

Having the will to confront the shooter is one thing, but doing so in a way that you prevent innocent deaths, including your own takes a specific skill set.  Knowing what to do when law enforcement does arrive is vital.  The 540 degree principal, threshold evaluation, movement torward threat, and friendly link-up are just some of the skills you will learn in this training.

We will start with an understanding of where these events might occur, how to respond, and end with force-on-force drills to let you practice each skill.

If you are a CCW holder and routinely carry your weapon, this course is a “must attend” for you.

If you are a first responder, this course will give you valuable insights in how to respond yourself if you are off-duty.

Fully applicable for Civilians, Fire Fighters, LEO, and EMS.

No live fire ammunition required.  All force-on-force equipment will be provided.

This course will run from 10-5 on Saturday and 9-4 on Sunday.

CRAS is a non-shooting class, so it is not a concern.

Do you happen to have any reviews available from others who have taken the class? I’m extremely interested. I also have a couple other questions as they would relate specifically to me. Thx in advance for your reply.

You can view our Facebook page where you will see many reviews. You can also look at our past events section where we offered this course last December with high reviews. You can send an email to us for specific personal questions.

In the state of Indiana all we have to do is apply for a permit at the sheriff’s department and it is up to their discretion whether or not you are granted a CCDW permit. Because of how easy it is to get your permit in Indiana my permit is not recognized in several states, so seeing as this course is a little expensive to participate in is your course recognized as a certified training course which will grant me the rights to carry my firearm in certain states that do not allow me to carry my gun now because I have not taken any firearms training? Particularly the state of Ohio because that is a bordering state that I often visit but can not carry my gun as of right now.

Indiana does not have a “Concealed Carry Permit” per se, what they do have is a “License to Carry Handgun”, and currently Indiana is a “Shall Issue” state meaning the Sheriff has no authority to deny you if your background check is clear. Ohio currently offers reciprocity with Indiana, so with your Indiana LTCH you can carry in Ohio. For future reference, this website is very handy to utilize:

As far as this class giving you the ability to carry in different states than are currently covered under the reciprocity agreements, there is no class that can do that with just your Indiana permit. You can however take a course to get the Utah or Florida non-resident permits which will offer you additional states. Those courses are specifically geared toward obtaining the permit, and are not covered in this class.

      Hope this helps.

Is this a band to hand training class? I understand there is no shooting. What type of force on force?

      Force-on-Force is done using airsoft.
