- Intro to Lockpicking (Evansville)
March 18, 2016
3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Have you ever locked yourself out of your house, garage, or storage shed? Ever went to open that padlock you never use, only to find out you lost the key?
Many people think “picking” a lock is only used for nefarious missions, but in reality knowing how to gain entry into your own property is a skill you can use more than you might think. This course will teach you the basic fundamentals of opening both entry doors and padlocks. If you are a police officer, firefighter, or EMS, a simple lock pick can allow you to respond to an emergency without busting down a door and causing more expense to those already in need. This is NOT a course for those wishing to gain entry into areas they do not have a legal ability to enter.
The course will cover basic locksmithing, basic lock picking, locksmithing tools, and lock nomenclature.
All equipment will be provided. A lockpick set will be loaned for your use during the course. If you wish to purchase your own set of basic lockpicking tools, choose the second ticket option which will include the course fee AND the tool.
