About This Course:

Knowing how to protect yourself is not just about being able to effectively wield a weapon.  You are far more likely to find yourself at the scene of a car wreck than you are to find yourself in the middle of a gunfight.  If you can do a few key things prior to the ambulance arriving, you can positively affect the outcome and survivability.  If it is you or your family members involved, keeping calm and working through your trained skills are imperitive.

If you do become involved in a violent encounter, chances are the bad guy struck first…which means there will be innocent people injuried.  You may win the battle, but you yourself may be wounded.  Knowing, how, when, and WHERE to administer aid is highly important in the middle of battle.

Tops Covered:

Assessment and Treatment of Trauma Patients – Learn how to apply the concepts of TC3 in the individual, reactive setting.

Hemorrhage Control – Do you know when to apply a tourniquet? Do you know the best ones on the market? How to improvise one?

Airway Management – How do you ensure an open airway on an injured person? How is the standard “ABC” wrong for trauma? What is an NPA?

Patient Movement – Learn when and why you might be required to move a patient, and the proper methods to do so to mimize damage.

Who Should Attend:

This course will be equally rewarding for the person having no formal medical training all the way through those who have formal first aid training.  Everyone WILL learn something which just might save their life or the life of someone in their care.

For those who have taken our Introduction to Tactical Medicine, this is the next step in continuing your training.
