About This Course:

Smartsafe: Women’s Empowered Self-Defense is a reality-based self-defense system that addresses the most common real-life situations that women may encounter.  Smartsafe is bio-mechanically designed to enable the smaller person to increase her chances of surviving a situation.

The system addresses rape defense, abduction, choking, gun disarming, car jacking, knife defense, ground survival, and strikes.

A female instructor teaches this course.

This introductory course will cover the following topics:

  • Situational Awareness
  • Survivor mentality
  • Adrenaline Dump
  • Cooper’s Codes of Alertness
  • Striking, kicking and kneeing
  • Pressure points

Specific situational scenarios and techniques covered in this course:

  • Surprise Grab Escape
  • Grabbed from behind
  • Hair Pull from behind
  • Aggressive Slap Defense
