Many people think they know how to operate a handgun or to shoot accurately. However, do you know how to rapidly deploy your handgun in a stressful situation, clear any malfunctions, make a successful hit, reload your weapon, and perform them all within 3 seconds?
If you are considering carrying a handgun for personal defense, or just want to keep one in your nightstand, this is a vital course for you. Regardless of how many rounds you have fired at your local range, you will learn how to use your handgun in real world situation.
If you have never fired your weapon before, this is a perfect class for you. If you think you are an expert, we guarantee you will still learn something.
This course is approximately 50% classroom and 50% range time.
The classroom portion covers firearm safety for the real world, and goes extensively into the survival mindset.
The range portion covers how to grip and operate your weapon, the proper stance, how draw your weapon from the holster, how to do various reloads under time, and does a brief overview of weapon malfunction clearing. A discussion of the proper way to conduct dry-fire at home ends the day.

- Approximately 50 rounds of ammunition
If you do not have a weapon, you can use one of ours (simply pay for the ammunition).
If there is something you do not have, inform us in advance and we can arrange for you to borrow.
All participants should bring ear and eye protection and dress appropriately for the weather.
This course is open to ages 14+ as long as a parent attends.

Please note….some GPS systems will utilize Franklin as the city versus Edinburgh.
