    About This Course:

The reality is most gunfights in the domestic United States will take place up close and personal.  The idea you will be shooting your adversary at 25 yards is usually a myth and a mindset which makes it easier for you to feel safe after going to the range and practicing your marksmanship aimed at static paper targets. Statistics show the majority of gunfights happen within 3 yards, and many within arms reach.  Some places will teach you to create distance from your adversary, but we teach if you find yourself in a deadly encounter to get close, interrupt their OODA loop, end the fight, and go home.

This course will teach you how to fire your weapons without sights, quickly, in close, and with potential other obstacles in the way.

    Equipment Required:

    • Semi-Automatic Handgun

    • Holster (NO Serpa Holsters due to insurance regulations)

    • 3 Magazines

    • Magazine carry method for at least 1 spare magazine

    • Approximately 300 rounds of ammunition

    • Eye and Ear protection

    •  T-Shirt or Sweatshirt you don't mind destroying

    •  Please equip yourself as you would carrying during everyday life.  No battle belts, chest rigs, etc unless that is how you go the grocery store (police duty gear is acceptable)

    Prerequisites:

Defensive Handgun Level 2, or equivalent training through us or at another recognized facility.  You must have above average weapon safety understandings and muzzle discipline.  Please contact us with any questions about these prerequisites.

    Notes:

This course is available to those 18 and over.

This is a very advanced course, it isn't overly physical must you must have your brain engaged at all times.

    About This Course:

Tactical Medicine is based off the Department of Defense's Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC). TECC has been modified in 2023 to be more applicable to students working in the Continental United States in Civilian Settings.  This is a demanding course where students will learn skills and knowledge to help prevent the loss of life while in a high threat environment. The skills learned will be equally applicable for self-aid, or in aid of others. This is not a first aid course. This course deals with life threatening injuries due to traumatic injuries. Students will learn to operate in austere conditions, with limited equipment and limited access to higher trained medical personnel. This course will also deal with situations where transport to hospitals may be delayed.

This course will go deep into the use of the IFAK equipment. Specials skills will include medical assessment, commercial and improvised Tourniquet application in a timely manner, wound packing including the use of pressure points, NPA use and insertion, and patient movement including drags and carries. Students will learn to deal with stress inducing situations including missing or broken equipment and combative patients.

This course is a mix of lecture and field drills. This course is moderately physical in nature, and students should expect plenty of movement including lifting and running.

Since this is a TECC course, students will learn surgical airways, meds/fluids, and needle decompressions. Some skills taught may or may not be applicable based on your current credentials. It is the students responsibility to know if the skills taught are covered under their current certification level and local protocols.

    About This Course:

Active Shooter Situations can happen anywhere. Schools, Malls or Nightclubs.

Police will respond, but in the meantime how many deaths will occur? If your child, spouse, or loved one is in the path of gunfire, will you respond to stop the killing?

Having the will to confront the shooter is one thing, but doing so in a way that you prevent innocent deaths, including your own takes a specific skill set. Knowing what to do when law enforcement does arrive is vital. The 540 degree principal, threshold evaluation, movement toward threat, and friendly link-up are just some of the skills you will learn in this training.

We will start with an understanding of where these events might occur, how to respond, and end with force-on-force drills to let you practice each skill.

If you are a CCW holder and routinely carry your weapon, this course is a "must attend" for you.

If you are a first responder, this course will give you valuable insights in how to respond yourself if you are off-duty.

Fully applicable for Civilians, Fire Fighters, LEO, and EMS.

If you are someone who thinks it is as easy as just shooting the bad guy, you definitely need to come to this course.

If you think you will always get shot by the police in this situation, you definitely need to come to this course.

    Equipment Required:

No live fire ammunition required. All force-on-force equipment will be provided

    About This Course:

In many areas, assailants prefer using bladed or pointed weapons. Additionally, there are places where carrying a firearm is not permitted, but you may be allowed to carry a knife for self-defense.

Most knife fighting or knife defense classes resemble a choreographed dance more than practical training for real encounters. Such encounters are often ambushes, typically brief but always brutal. Your training needs to focus on the actual techniques employed by most attackers.

This is not a martial arts training course. It is a hybrid-style, reality-based system with techniques you can apply immediately.

    Topics Include:

    • ·       Multiple Angles of Attack
    • ·       Footwork and Distancing
    • ·       Direct and Efficient Strikes
    • ·       Clinch and Control
    • ·       Simplicity and Adaptability
    • ·       Mindset and Awareness

This course is focused on practicality and is designed with methods to adapt to various situations, opponents, and personal fitness, skill, and size.

    Equipment Required:

    • ·       Eye protection
    • ·       Groin protection for males and breast protection for females is optional but recommended
    • ·       Wear a shirt you don’t mind getting destroyed.  It probably won’t, but you never know.
    • ·       Training knives will be supplied, but you are welcome to bring your own

    Prerequisites:

    • ·       None
    • ·       This class is geared toward the individual with little to no martial arts or fighting experience.
    • ·       If you have martial arts experience, you will still benefit by learning the additional nuances of this style.

    Special Note about Physical Condition:

You do NOT have to be in great shape, be strong or particularly fast. A 100 pound woman can drop a man twice her size using the principles taught. That's not hyperbole, and will be demonstrated in class.

    Castle Defender

Understanding Firearms, Angles, and the Realities of Home Defense

    About This Course

Defending yourself with a firearm inside your own home presents challenges that are very different from shooting on a traditional range. Walls do not necessarily stop bullets. Doors may provide little protection. A shot that misses its intended target, or passes completely through it, may continue into another room, another part of the house, or even beyond the exterior of the home.

Castle Defender is an intensive two-day course designed to help armed citizens better understand those realities and develop a thoughtful, informed home-defense plan specific to where they actually live.

The course begins on the range with a live-fire demonstration examining how common handgun, rifle, and shotgun ammunition interacts with materials commonly found in residential construction. Students will see firsthand what happens when rounds encounter drywall, paneling, wood construction, siding, brick, concrete block, hollow-core doors, steel doors, and other common barriers. All live-fire demonstrations are conducted by the instructor.

From there, the course moves into the classroom to examine the geometry of home defense. Students will learn how angles, fields of fire, likely threat approaches, points of domination, fatal funnels, concealment, and the potential for overpenetration should influence where and how a firearm might responsibly be employed inside a residence.

Students will then create a detailed scale drawing of their own home and use the principles discussed in class to begin developing a home-specific defensive plan rather than relying on generic tactics.

On Day Two, those concepts move from paper to practice. Using movable walls in a large training facility, several student home layouts will be recreated and used for scenario-based exercises with Airsoft training weapons. These exercises allow students to see how seemingly small differences in position, angles, movement, and decision-making can dramatically change a situation.

This is not a traditional CQB or structure-clearing course. Castle Defender is about understanding your own home, recognizing the limitations of firearms and building materials, and making better decisions before an emergency ever occurs.

    Topics Covered

    Ammunition & Residential Barrier Penetration

Cover, Concealment & the Reality of Interior Structures

Defensive Angles, Fields of Fire & Points of Domination

Fatal Funnels, Threat Approaches & Positioning

    Developing a Home-Specific Defensive Plan

    Scenario-Based Home Defense Exercises

    Equipment Required:

    Notepad and paper

Pencil (NOT ink), eraser, straight ruler

Protective equipment for airsoft simulation training (mask, eye protection)

    Course Notes

This is a two-day course combining live-fire demonstrations, classroom instruction, individual home-defense planning, and scenario-based Airsoft exercises.

Live-fire demonstrations are conducted by the instructor. Students will not fire live ammunition during the penetration-demonstration portion of the course.

Students should come prepared with enough information about their residence to create an accurate scale floor plan during the class.

    About This Course:

Have you ever considered what you would do in the event of a medical emergency when there isn’t EMS available, or perhaps the hospitals are either full or not taking patients (we have seen this nearly happen with COVID).  What would you do if you were in a remote area and medical support was severely delayed?  What if your family member’s life was totally up to the skills you have and the equipment you possess?  What should you do if all else fails and you now have a dead body to care for?  This 2 day course will help you learn the skills, understand the equipment, and then practice those skills.

This is far different than a “Wilderness EMR” type course.  This course will go deeply into the medical side of things not typically seen in a typical WFA type training.

    Topics Covered:

    • How to handle the top ten causes of death in this country if there is no medicine available
    • What can you anticipate happening in a total grid down scenario
    • How many are expected to die in the scenario
    • How can you improvise resources from what is around you to treat medical conditions
    • What do you need to do BEFORE such a scenario exists
    • Scenarios on day 2 to reinforce didactic session on day 1

    Equipment Required:

    • Pocket knife or other cutting tool
    • Thumb drive if you want to receive the slides
    • Paper
    • Writing instrument
    • If you have a medical kit you would like to learn about, please bring it (not required)
