About This Course:

Running a knife is not unlike running a firearm, it takes skills to truly become a technician of the blade. In this two day course we will address what it takes to run a knife combatively, and also how to transfer that mechanical ability into empty hand usage against the edged weapon attack.  During this course we will also discuss the use of baton type weapons and how to properly transition between impact weapons and cutting weapons.

This course is based on the SEAMOK (Simple, Effective, Aggressive Methods of Kombate)

  • Knife Familiarization
  • Striking Patterns
  • Targeting
  • Footwork and Mechanics
  • Ambush
  • Knife on Knife
  • Empty Hand vs. Knife
  • Transitions between Baton and Knife

Equipment Required:

  • Training Knife (No points, No edges) NOK style preferred - We have these available to borrow
  • Safety Glasses
  • Groin Protector
  • Mouthguard
  • Comfortable Attire (It May Get Ripped)

Prerequisites:

None

This course is suited for beginners as well as seasoned practitioners. It is geared to aid all in building their skill sets to an operational level under duress.

Ages 14 and up may attend with a parent
