About This Class:

From the time a bad guy chooses you, you have very limited time to make a decision. THEY choose how and when. This simulation class will equip you with the mental tools to fill the gaps in your knowledge and learn how to act quickly, decisively and thoughtfully.

The Image-Based Decisional Drills (IBDD) class will help you develop and strengthen your decision-making process using the Recognition Prime Decision (RPD) model of decision-making when faced with complex and stressful situations such as someone attacking you. It’s core goal will help equip you with the tools to make ONE good FIRST decision, based on visual stimuli and act on it instantly while being Confident, Decisive, Efficient & Explosive.

Topics Include:

• Cognitive Stacking & Tool Cycling
• Are you a good witness? What affects your ability to effectively communicate what happened?
• What are Proxemics, what do they tell us and how can we use them to protect ourselves?
• What options do we have between “a harsh word and a gun”?
• Visual Cueing & pre-event decision making.
• Distance management

This class will utilize SIRT laser pistols and simulated exercises.

Equipment Needed:

• Notepad / Pen
• Open mind and willingness to engage in discussions.

Optional Equipment:

• Your own SIRT pistol
• Practice Tourniquet
• Handheld Flashlight
• All optional equipment will be provided if you do not have your own.
