About This Course:
When there is an item located in a building on a compound, getting to and securing that item is a multi-step process. First you have to be able to safely approach the building. Then you have to secure the exterior of the building. Once the exterior is secure, you make entry and retrieve the item. Finally, you have to safely escape the compound with the item. The military goes through this process when they have to raid a structure to obtain intelligence material, or to extract a hostage or high value prisoner. Law enforcement has to do this when they effect an arrest on a dangerous suspect. As a civilian, many of the same principles may apply if there is a suspicious noise in your exterior garage.
This course combines elements of small squad tactics, urban assault, and close quarters battle (cqb). While it impossible to teach a student how to be proficient in these disciplines in a 2 day course, the teamwork, communication, and decision making in chaos scenarios is useful in a wide variety of everyday events.
