About This Course
Every day, people influence one another, intentionally or unintentionally. Leaders motivate teams, parents shape children, teachers guide students, and peers influence beliefs and behavior. Psychological Power & Influence is a course designed to help everyday adults understand how influence actually works in real life, without deception, coercion, or abuse.
This course does not teach manipulation tactics. Instead, it examines the psychological mechanics behind influence, persuasion, authority, and power so that students can operate with clarity, responsibility, and ethical restraint. By understanding how influence functions at a psychological level, students become less naive, more intentional, and better equipped to lead, communicate, and set boundaries without resorting to pressure or control.
Drawing from psychology, behavioral science, and real-world examples, this course explores how power dynamics form, how narratives shape perception, and how influence can be used either constructively or destructively. Students will learn how influence already shows up in their lives; at work, in families, in social groups, and how to navigate it consciously rather than reactively.
We will take an in-depth look at dark psychology tactics, how they are applied in black-hat settings, and how you can use the same techniques in an ethical and responsible manner.
This course is analytical, grounded, and designed for mature audiences who want a deeper understanding of human behavior and responsibility in positions of influence. You will gain far more understanding of real-world application than you can ever get in a book, even if that book does cover 48 different “rules”.
